
La gestión de compras se ha convertido para muchas empresas en una actividad fundamental capaz de generar ventaja competitiva. Este artÃculo sostiene que, para que esto ocurra, es necesario que la función de compras esté integrada en el proceso de planificación estratégica de la empresa. Se aporta evidencia al respecto y también se muestra que la estructura organizativa de la empresa juega un papel importante a la hora de lograr dicha integración.
