Sobre “periferias urbanas” e “favelas”

Abstract

O artigo analisa quantitativamente os usos das categorias “periferias urbanas” e “favelas” em produções acadêmicas de programas de pós-graduação relacionados ao campo dos estudos urbanos. Foram selecionadas 224 teses de doutorado, publicadas entre 1987 e 2015, construindo-se um quadro temático e um perfil de autoria dessas produções com base nas ferramentas classificatórias e analíticas do UrbanData-Brasil. Palavras-chave: favelas; periferias urbanas; pós-graduação; UrbanData-Brasil.
