Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, prospectivo y longitudinal del cuadro epidemiológico de los años 1994 y 1995 y los 7 primeros meses de 1996 en el Círculo Infantil "Somos Felices", Bayamo. Al finalizar la problemática de Granma, en Bayamo y específicamente de los círculos infantiles se apreció correspondencia del alza de la escabiosis, identificando factores personales, ambientales y comunitarios e instituciones que incidieron directamente sobre ello; se desarrollaron en cada caso actividades preventivas con carácter higiénico-epidemiológico que contribuyeron a mejorar la asistencia, indicador de calidad para este centro modelo referencial en Granma, de fáciles solución, aplicación y generalización que reafirman las directivas de mantener la educación y la salud bajo cualquier circunstanciaA descriptive, prospective and longitudinal study of the epidemiological picture that prevailed in 1994, 1995 and during the first 7 months of 1996 at the "Somos Felices" Day Care Center, in Bayamo, was conducted. On analyzing the situation of the province of Granma, of Bayamo, and specifically of the day care centers, it was observed an increase of scabies. Personal, environmental and community factors were identified, as well as institutions that influenced directly on it. Preventive activities with hygienic and epidemiological character were carried put to improve assistance that is an indicator of quality for this model reference center in Granma. Such activities are easy to apply, provide simple solutions, and reaffirm the purpose of mainraining education and health under any circunstances
