LESIONES TRAUMÁTICAS EN LOS MIEMBROS SUPERIORES POR ARMAS BLANCAS

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo a 36 pacientes con lesiones en los miembros superiores causadas por armas blancas ingresados en el Servicio de Ortopedia y Traumatología del Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Docente "Manuel Ascunce Domenech", desde noviembre del 2000 hasta octubre de 2002. En el mismo se reflejaron las variables: edad, sexo, causas más frecuentes, localización anatómica, lesiones asociadas, complicaciones, secuelas e incapacidad resultante. Las edades más afectadas fueron de 31 y 40 años, predominó el sexo el masculino; la causa fundamental fue la riña; la localización anatómica más afectada fue el antebrazo y la incapacidad permanente parcial fue la más relevante, al igual que las secuelas funcionales.
