The University of Seville (Spain) celebrated, last october 24th, 2011, as Doctor Honoris Causa of that School, of the architect Alvaro Joaquim de Melo Siza Vieira (Matosinhos, 1933). For this occasion, a magnum event was organized at the University Main Hall, at the proposal of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura (Technical College of Architecture), which was celebrating its fiftieth anniversary.
