Pigmen Antosianin Kulit Buah Naga (Hylocereus polyrhizus) sebagai Tinta Organik

Abstract

Buah Naga banyak dikonsumsi masyarakat karena memiliki banyak manfaat. Tingginya tingkat konsumsi masyarakat membuat jumlah sampah organik terus meningkat. Salah satu upaya untuk mereduksi jumlah sampah organik adalah dengan cara memanfaatkan pigmen antosianin pada kulit buah naga menjadi tinta sehingga mempunyai nilai guna yang tinggi. Pembuatan tinta organic dengan cara ekstraksi kulit buah naga menjadi dye. Proses pembuatan tinta dilakukan dengan mencampur dye dengan Gum Arab dan Alkohol dengan variasi perlakuan pada kulit buah naga saat ekstraksi menjadi dye , yakni di oven dan tidak di oven. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah volume dye. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, didapatkan nilai massa jenis Tinta berada antara 0,948 gram/ ml sampai 1,118 gram/ ml. Melalui uji intensitas cahaya, semakin banyak jumlah volume dye yang digunakan maka semakin banyak cahaya yang ditransmisikan. Berdasarkan uji Absorbansi, tinta menyerap panjang gelombang di kisaran 900 nm. Dengan hasil ini,sampah kulit buah naga dapat diaplikasikan menjadi tinta.
