Abstract

Relatando su experiencia en la lucha por las reivindicaciones étnicas en la Costa, Steadman Fagott nos hace un rápido recorrido de la lucha por la autonomía a partir del rompimiento entre la organización indígena MISURASATA y la revolución sandinista, pasando por los gobiernos de doña Violeta Chamorro, Amoldo Alemán y Enrique Bolaños, hasta desembocar en la actual administración presidida por el líder sandinista Daniel Ortega, en la cual ocupa la dirección del Instituto de la Pesca, desde el cual analiza el rol de esta institución de vital importancia para el manejo de los recursos pesqueros de la Costa en el pasado, en el presente y en el futuro.
