Abstract

Umkämpftes Grün. Zwischen neoliberaler Stadtentwicklung und Stadtgestaltung von unten von Sarah Kumnig, Marit Rosol und Andrea*s Exner eröffnet einen alternativen Blickwinkel auf die kritische Praxis des städtischen Gärtnerns. Die Gegenüberstellung verschiedener Maßstabsebenen, Fallbeispielen und Betrachtungsweisen, die von historischer Analyse bis zu Aktivismus vor Ort reichen, verdeutlichen die Ambivalenz des Phänomens ‚Urban Gardening‘ und legt Mechanismen und Effekte offen, die diese kritische Praxis der Raumaneignung in ihr Gegenteil verkehren können. Vor allem die Entkoppelung von Sozial- und Künstlerkritik führt zu einer programmatischen Schwächung der Initiativen und zu deren Vereinnahmung durch neoliberale Stadtpolitiken.
