This paper summarized the practice of acupoint application guided by midnight-noon ebb-flow theory and nursing measures for a patient with hepatitis B and ascites due to cirrhosis of the liver. Key issues included nursing evaluation, routine nursing, application time, operation method and acupoints selection under the guidance of midnight-noon ebb-flow theory. By nursing according to syndrome differentiation and selecting the corresponding time for acupoint application, the symptoms of ascites was relieved and patient’s quality of life was improved.
