DIAGNÓSTICO EDUCATIVO EN SALUD BUCAL PARA GESTANTES

Abstract

El embarazo es un momento sublime en la vida de una mujer, momento éste que está acompañado de una serie de cambios fisiológicos y psíquicos que las convierten en pacientes especiales, por lo que la promoción de la salud bucal durante este período es particularmente importante. Se realizó una investigación en servicios de salud de tipo descriptivo con el objetivo de determinar las necesidades educativas, lo que permitió conocer el grado de información sobre salud bucal en relación con el embarazo de las cincuenta y cinco gestantes ingresadas en los Hogares Maternos del Municipio de Camagüey. Se identificaron los principales problemas de salud bucal asociados al embarazo presentes en este grupo donde predominó la enfermedad periodontal con un 70.9 %, seguida por las caries dentales con un 41 %. Se realizó el diagnóstico educativo a través de una entrevista estructurada donde según los resultados obtenidos el 85.45 % de las gestantes fueron evaluadas de regular en relación al nivel de información sobre las enfermedades bucales más frecuentes asociadas a los cambios del embarazo y que pueden afectar su salud bucal. El 60 % obtuvo evaluación de regular sobre las medidas generales higiénico sanitarias y el 89.1 % tenían un alto nivel de aceptación para recibir medidas educativas para la promoción de salud y la prevención de enfermedades.
