Síndrome de Sweet asociado a leucemia mieloide aguda.

Abstract

El Síndrome de Sweet es una dermatosis neutrofílica febril aguda, infrecuente caracterizada por aparición aguda de múltiples lesiones dérmicas eritematosas en forma de placas y nódulos cutáneos inflamatorios, localizados en cara, cuello y extremidades, acompañadas de fiebre, malestar general y neutrofilia. Se asocia característicamente a ciertas enfermedades autoinmunes y en neoplasias (10 a 20 %), fundamentalmente hematológicas. Histopatológicamente muestra un denso infiltrado neutrofílico en la dermis, además es muy constante la leucocitoclasia. El Síndrome de Sweet es una entidad que tiene significativa importancia cuando se desconoce el diagnóstico de la enfermedad subyacente, la biopsia temprana de la lesión permite establecer el diagnóstico diferencial. El diagnóstico anátomo-patológico es concluyente tomando en cuenta la incidencia en enfermedades hematológicas. Las variables dermatológicas deben ser diferenciadas pues son muy comunes en otras enfermedades.
