Abstract

À medida do desenrolar da crise econômico-financeira – atingindo, embora, em grau e profundidade diversos todas as economias do globo – começam a surgir também tímidas previsões sobre uma próxima recuperação do desastre que apostam na próxima retomada da demanda por bens e serviços e a elevação dos níveis de produção e de emprego, em consequência dos estímulos financeiros dos governos. Por outro lado, os mais realistas prognosticam um longo período de reconstrução da poupança dos consumidores e um lento crescimento da produção, acompanhados de altas taxas de desemprego. Segundo alguns “gurus”, os impactos mais sérios da crise seriam sentidos no enfraquecimento do potencial de crescimento das economias desenvolvidas, cuja projeção aponta para magros 1 – 2% ao ano, durante a próxima década.
