Conocimiento sobre Medicina Natural y Tradicional por residentes de Medicina General Integral

Abstract

Introducción: los residentes de Medicina General Integral requieren conocimientos de Medicina Natural y Tradicional para su práctica asistencial. Objetivo: evaluar el conocimiento de la Medicina Natural y Tradicional por residentes de Medicina General Integral. Materiales y Métodos: se realizó una investigación descriptiva, transversal y analítica en el Policlínico Docente "Raúl Sánchez Rodríguez" de Pinar del Río en el primer trimestre del año 2016. El universo estuvo conformado por 50 residentes de Medicina General Integral y la muestra de estudio lo constituyeron 28 residentes seleccionados al azar, de los cuales 15 fueron del primer año y 13 del segundo año de dicha especialidad. Se estudiaron las variables: temáticas teóricas, técnicas de Medicina Natural y Tradicional y calificación final. Se respetó la ética médica. Resultados: en los residentes de primer año prevalecieron los conocimientos de Medicina Natural y Tradicional sobre ventajas y Fitoterapia, obteniendo calificaciones de bien; mientras que en los de segundo predominaron las indicaciones, ventajas, Fitoterapia y Dígitopuntura, con resultados de excelente. Conclusiones: resultaron favorables los conocimientos de Medicina Natural y Tradicional por residentes de Medicina General Integral, los cuales se fortalecen y amplían en la contribución a una formación profesional integral y de calidad científica.
