The study presents the territoriality of the Catholic Church in Sergipe, Brazil, by explaining the expansion of sacred territory and its network system. The methods employed in this study were theoretical research, consultation of documents and other bibliographic sources guiding the research work, and the collection of data from the parishes and cities of Sergipe. Results showed that the construction of sacred territory in Sergipe dates back to the sixteenth century, when land was allotted to religious orders. The population increase over time led to the creation of a network of parishes, which later broke up and expanded, thus creating a wide religious territoriality.
