In Memoriam Cinna Lomnitz (1925-2016)

Abstract

Cinna Lomnitz nació en Colonia, Alemania el 4 de mayo de 1925 y murió el 7 de julio de 2016 en la Ciudad de México. La muy azarosa e interesante vida de este gran sismólogo y experto en dinámica de suelos germano-chileno-mexicano ha sido conmemorada en varios lugares y en diferentes idiomas. Fue importante para mí escribir un obituario en su lengua materna, donde se mencionen y reconozcan las estaciones más importantes de su larga vida. Aparece en noviembre en "Mitteilungen der Deutschen Geophysikalischen Gesellschaft.
