Reoperaciones en el hiperparatiroidismo primario

Abstract

La cirugía del hiperparatiroidismo primario (HPT19) es poco frecuente en nuestro medio. A propósito de tres reintervenciones por persistencia en un total de 19 pacientes operados por hiperparatiroidismo primario se realiza un estudio del tema. Se analizan las causas de las reintervenciones siendo las más importantes las múltiples glándulas patológicas y la inexperiencia del cirujano. Como test de localización es el tecnecio 99m sestamibi el que tiene mejor certeza y se insiste en el abordaje lateral del cuello cuando se tiene la glándula localizada
