Identificación de aglutinantes proteicos en obras de arte pictóricas cubanas

Abstract

En este trabajo se implementaron metodologías de microanálisis mediante análisis histoquímico y Espectroscopia Infrarroja con Transformada de Fourier (EITF) para determinar la naturaleza del aglutinante en pinturas y la Cromatografía de Gases (CG) acoplada a Espectrometría de Masas (EM) para la identificación de los aglutinantes de origen proteico de uso común en la técnica al temple, con el objetivo de disponer de estos métodos como parte de la identificación de materiales artísticos en bienes patrimoniales cubanos que realiza el Laboratorio de Arqueometría de la Oficina del Historiador de la ciudad de La Habana. Las metodologías implementadas se evaluaron a través de muestras modelo de técnicas pictóricas tradicionales con variación del aglutinante proteico: yema y clara de huevo, caseína, aceite de nuez y cola envejecidos naturalmente durante cinco años. Las muestras modelo fueron correctamente identificadas. En el análisis histoquímico, se determinó la interferencia de pigmentos con presencia de nitrógeno con el colorante Amido Black. La Espectroscopia IR permitió diferenciar la técnica oleosa y mixta (aceite más proteína) y el temple con yema. Se identificó la técnica oleosa en pinturas murales de la iglesia San Francisco Nuevo (siglo xix) y la Casa Obrapía (siglo xvii) y la técnica de temple con cola animal en la policromía del siglo xviii que representa al evangelista San Juan perteneciente a la otrora iglesia San Juan de Letrán.
