Abstract

Статья посвящена особенностям и истокам градостроительной теории Николая Милютина. Написанная задолго до завершения им формального образования книга «Соцгород» обрела в известной степени культовый статус среди планировщиков и архитекторов XX века, однако реальная степень его вклада в практику строительства новых городов, а также влияние на последующие разработки остается к настоящему времени не до конца проясненной. Сам Милютин неплохо ориентировался в градостроительной мысли своего времени благодаря не только общению с Ле Корбюзье, но и книгам, в первую очередь на французском языке. Если Владимир Семенов был в России и СССР проводником английской градостроительной мысли, то Милютин – французской и испанской.
