Abstract

El presente estudio determina los hábitos posturales de riesgo que pueden generar en hiperlordosis, cifosis y escoliosis en niñas y niños de 11 a 13 años en la escuela Manuel Ignacio Monteros de la ciudad de Loja. Se realizó el estudio a una población de 83 estudiantes, para lo cual se aplicaron encuestas para analizar los hábitos posturales adoptados tanto en la casa como en la institución educativa, así como la forma de llevar, el tipo y peso de la mochila. Además, se empleó una técnica de observación a través de una lista de cotejo para valorar las posturas de los alumnos en la silla y al levantar objetos del suelo. Para el análisis se aplicó la prueba de Adams y la prueba de las flechas sagitales para poder sacar el índice cifótico y el índice lordótico, así como el nivel de escoliosis. Según los resultados, existen deficiencias en los hábitos posturales, ya que el 70,75% tiene posturas incorrectas al levantar objetos livianos y el 60,55% de los alumnos que tienen problemas posturales no tienen una posición correcta en la silla, por lo que se concluye que las alteraciones de columna están relacionadas con el peso de la mochila y los hábitos posturales.
