Identificación y evaluación de repoblaciones forestales mediante el Inventario Forestal Nacional español

Abstract

Gran parte de las repoblaciones forestales en España se realizaron entorno a los años 1930-1970. El estudio del estado y funcionamiento de estas formaciones boscosas ha generado mucho interés entre científicos y gestores. Los inventarios forestales representan una fuente de datos valiosísima para evaluar el funcionamiento a largo plazo de estos bosques a escalas espaciales amplias. Este artículo presenta herramientas para identificar y seleccionar parcelas del tercer Inventario Forestal Nacional correspondientes a repoblaciones forestales uniformes. Mediante varias funciones se pretende agilizar el trabajo de investigadores y técnicos cuyo objetivo particular se vea afectado por la presencia o ausencia de este tipo de formaciones boscosas. Dichas funciones representan un primer intento para incluir/excluir parcelas en repoblaciones tanto para provincias individuales como para conjuntos de ellas en España. Se presentan algunos resultados preliminares, y se discuten fortalezas, debilidades y direcciones futuras relativas al uso de estas funciones.
