We often emphasize that public administration can not be sidestep in our lives, which is, in our view, exponentially true in the case of real estate registry. It is almost inconceivable that a citizen should not encounter land registry procedures during his or her lifetime. Today, the existence of modern states is inconceivable without real estate registers, as they are related to the realization of certain state functions. In Hungary keep a record of real estate and land registry dates back several centuries. We have reached the next milestone in this historic process, as from February 2023, the regulation of real estate registration will be on a new base. In the summer of last year, the new law on real estate registry was passed, which is a central element in our present research. In our study, we examine the novelties regulated in the new Real Estate Registration Act, we focus on procedural issues, and before all this, we focus on the history of regulation.
