
This article review the importance of taxonomy- of living beings. It presents basic information concerning different international recognized taxonomic techniques, from simple to more complex ones, whith enphasis in microorganisms, and particularly, bacteria. It pretend to explain why do livingbeings are named using two words and in a different language from our native language; what is the origin of these rules, and what is their importance from a scientific point of view, etc.
