[EN] At this moment, to 3D print any project at the 3D printer laboratory of Odisee, it is necessary to use a memory card. The final step of 3D printing requires saving the design on an SD card which is afterwards introduced into the printer, and the desired file is selected to be printed. The project to be carried out is based on making the printing process more automatic and deleting this tedious step. The aim is to send the projects directly from the computer to the printer. However, in order to obtain a final 3D printed model, there are some steps to follow. Therefore, this document it is explained the most relevant parts of the entire 3D printing process, starting from the basics of a 3D printing design to the post-processing. For more detailed information related to each step, there have been developed manuals for each part.
