In this article we try to emphasize the importance for the construction of democratic schools of the integration of all the different cultures present in every society. However, we stress the need to take into account the cultural differences related to social class, which has been relegated by the phenomenon of migratory flows and the influence of neoliberal ideologies. In societies, like ours, where these social differences reach to more than a half of the population, not to take into account the cultures related to social class seems to us to be againt justice and equity. Moreover, it hinders the achievement of the social cohesion that justify, among other reasons, the need of the comprehensive school.
