COMPOSTAGEM ACELERADA: ANÁLISE MICROBIOLÓGICA DO COMPOSTO

Abstract

A compostagem é um processo controlado de degradação microbiológica da matéria orgânica, presente nos resíduos sólidos dispostos por um município. É dividida em duas fases, nas quais ocorrem a degradação e a estabilização do composto, durando, aproximadamente 120 dias. Para que a transformação da matéria orgânica em composto não consuma tanto tempo, já existem processos de compostagem acelerada. Este trabalho analisa os microrganismos, patogênicos ou não, presentes no material (lodo de esgoto da Estação de Tratamento de Esgoto Belém – ETE Belém e poda vegetal triturada) a ser compostado e no já maturado, da empresa Tibagi – Sistemas Ambientais, que utiliza como método acelerado, o processo Kneer®. O método utilizado para indicar ausência e presença de patógenos foi o Colorimétrico/Enzimático, com o reagente Fluorocult LMX, para coliformes totais e termotolerantes, e a contagem em placa, com o meio Ágar Enterococos, para enterococos fecais. Para analisar a biota presente, utilizou-se contagem em placa, com o meio PCA, para bactérias, e o meio PDA, para fungos.
