Abstract

El sinhogarismo, pese a ser una problemática que afecta tanto a hombres como a mujeres, representa una realidad distinta para cada género. En el presente documento, se realiza un análisis general del fenómeno del sinhogarismo, y se profundiza, mediante la perspectiva de género, en la realidad de las mujeres sin hogar. El objetivo principal es conocer la realidad que ha llevado una mujer a encontrarse en situación de sinhogarismo, investigando el perfil, las causas, las consecuencias y los peligros a los que están expuestas. En primera estancia, a través de una revisión bibliográfica, se han definido los términos de pobreza, exclusión social y sinhogarismo, y se ha llevado a cabo una clasificación de las personas sin hogar, realizándose una radiografía a nivel europeo, español y autonómico. En segundo lugar, se ha contextualizado el sinhogarismo femenino, incidiendo en los factores, los riesgos y las particularidades de este género. Por último, se han realizado entrevistas a profesionales que trabajan con este colectivo, para analizar la manera de trabajar de las organizaciones y los protocolos de actuación para las mujeres en situación de sinhogarismo en la ciudad de Valladolid. A modo de conclusión, se han elaborado recomendaciones para mejorar la atención a estas mujeres, desde la disciplina de la Educación Social.

Although homelessness is a problem for both men and women, it represents a different reality for each gender.In this paper, we make a general análisis of the phenomenon of homelessness, going deeper with a sight in gender perspective in the reality of homeless women. The main objective is to know what’s behind any woman to this position, investigating cause, effect and the dangers they are exposed to. On a first note, through a revision of the bibliography, we have defined the terms poverty, social exclusion and homelessness and we have classified the types os homeless people, looking at a European, Spanish and local levels. Secondly, we contextualise female homelessness, stressing the unleashing factors, the risks, and the gender peculiarities.. At last, we have interviewed professionals ar work with the collective to analyse the way of working with organisations and the protocols in place to help women in this situation in the city of Valladolid. As a conclusion, we have elaborated recommendations to help improve the attention given to this women, within the discipline of Social Education.
