Composição e sazonalidade da mesofauna do solo do semiárido paraibano

Abstract

Os organismos edáficos agem na decomposição dos resíduos orgânicos e contribuem para o ciclo de nutrientes no sistema solo, tendo suas populações reguladas, entre outros, por fatores do ambiente. Com o objetivo de verificar a composição e determinar a influência da precipitação pluviométrica e da temperatura edáfica sobre a sazonalidade da mesofauna do solo em área de Caatinga preservada foi conduzido estudo no município de Barra de Santa Rosa, na região do Curimataú paraibano. Os invertebrados edáficos foram coletados mensalmente e extraídos usando o método de Berlese-Tullgren modificado e identificados na categoria taxonômica ordem. Paralelamente por ocasião da coleta foram mensuradas a umidade e a temperatura do solo. Constatou-se maior abundância de organismos no período chuvoso e variações na diversidade da comunidade da fauna do solo em função das diferentes épocas de coleta através da determinação dos índices de Shannon e Pielou. Acarine esteve presente em todos os meses avaliados e obteve maior freqüência relativa no período do estudo, seguido de Collembola, este ausente na época de estiagem.
