Abstract

La Doctora Delfina Urbina Ospino nació en la población de Mompox, Bolívar, el 16 de enero de 1948. En 1966 ingresó a la Facultad de Química y Farmacia de la Universidad de Cartagena, de la cual salió egresada en 1972. Para obtener su título de pregrado realizó la tesis: “Estudio de grupos y subgrupos sanguíneos en población cartagenera”. En la Universidad de Antioquia realizó maestría en Microbiología Médica, obteniendo su título en 1978 con la tesis: Determinación de la concentración inhibitoria mínima de Penicilina G, requerida por cepas de N. Gonorrhoeae, aisladas en la ciudad de Medellín. En 1980 realizó un curso de profundización en “Laboratory Methods” en Virginia Polytechnical Institute, USA. En la década de los noventa realizó cursos especiales en Bogotá sobre micobacterias en el Instituto Nacional de Salud y el Curso Internacional de Función de las Proteínas, en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
