In this bachelor's thesis has been explained characteristics of SQL and NoSQL approach working with data. It describes why traditional SQL approach has been abandoned with solving problems which big data brought, which led to development of NoSQL solutions and their constant growth when working with data. Working with NoSQL databases has been explained on examples in document database MongoDB.
