Abstract

Aunque en algunos países de América Latina y el Caribe la actividad micro financiera no se encuentra tan desarrollada como se encuentra en: Bolivia, Perú, Colombia, República Dominicana y la mayor parte de Centro América, el número de instituciones micro financieras se ha elevado notablemente, y ha generado una competencia entre las mismas. Igualmente, los dirigentes y gerentes de estas instituciones comienzan a sentir la presión de atender una mayor cantidad de clientes potenciales, que permanecen aun sin servicios financieros. La investigación de corte cualitativo, trata simplemente de mostrar, que con un adecuado arreglo organizacional y con procedimientos para la buena gobernancia, junto a otras estrategias innovadoras, las instituciones micro financieras en proceso de expansión podrían ampliar la cobertura de mercado sin seguir dependiendo exclusivamente de aportes y donaciones.
