How to document the creation of audiovisual archives?

Abstract

La Contemporaine brings together audiovisual corpus designed in collaboration with or collected from researchers or associations, as well as archives from documentary filmmakers or their producers. Each audiovisual archive is produced in a unique context that cannot be detailed in an archival inventory. In order to better document the upstream production of oral sources, a series of interviews were conducted with their producers and form a new corpus that will soon be available for consultation.
