[EN] Alignment is a technique that given a pair of sentences in two languages with the same meanings, it establish the most likely bilingual correspondence among the words in the sentences, result that can be used for the creation of dictionaries and machine translation. The current state of art for alignment uses a special grammar form called ITG that has been proven to correctly define bilingual pairs. Nevertheless, the parsing method applied is expensive and does not consider any insight about the language. In this work, we try to combine the ITG model with a special adhoc parser for natural language called GLR. The combination of this two techniques is expected to reduce the overall time complexity with respect to the original algorithm.
