Transdisciplina e ingeniería

Abstract

La ingeniería, cualquiera sea su énfasis, es una carrera profesional que mezcla conocimientos de áreas distintas para abordar problemas. Pero la enseñanza que se provee, no debe centrarse en lo disciplinar o interdisciplinar, sino trascender más allá. Conviene considerar un enfoque transdisciplinar. Esto porque los procesos investigativos que se realizan integran conocimientos de diferentes áreas, involucra distintos enfoques y van más allá. La sociedad es cada vez más compleja y los procesos tecnológicos y científicos hacen que los problemas sean también complejos. Es decir, se requiere emplear aspectos metodológicos en la enseñanza y en la investigación para comprender la complejidad que existe, no emplear solo el pensamiento disyuntor, reduccionista o lineal, sino también propender por nuevos paradigmas, tal como lo exploran científicos (la teoría de sistemas, el pensamiento complejo, la computación cuántica, la transdisciplina). Este ensayo es una reflexión que presenta apreciaciones para encausar la formación en ingeniería.
