Abstract

[ES] En la actualidad existen dos modelos culturales que se desarrollan por separado: el denominado Neobarroco por Omar Calabrese y el modelo cultural capitalista. Desarrollaremos cómo se desenvuelven ambos tipos de modelos culturales en torno a dos temas que consideramos centrales y de gran relevancia en la actualidad: la muerte y el amor. Encontraremos que, sobre todo, la muerte es un tema que está en peligro en la sociedad actual. Por ese motivo, considero de esencial importancia tratar este tema para deshacer cualquier forma de tabú e intentar remendar las patologías sociales que puede provocar una mala asimilación de la muerte. En un contexto capitalista que prioriza el binomio rentabilidad-beneficio y que reprime cualquier duda existencial del ser humano, es necesario el presente trabajo, cuya práctica artística se encarga de representar el tema de la muerte desde varios puntos de vista para así contribuir a que la muerte deje de ser un estigma. En este trabajo, tras analizar las características de los dos modelos culturales que conviven en la actualidad (Neobarroco y capitalismo), he decidido hacer un trabajo práctico escultórico que tenga una inspiración barroca. Para así abordar frontalmente y desde diversos puntos de vista un tema que está siendo ampliamente reprimido en la sociedad actual: la muerte.
