Синтагматический аспект функционирования глаголов разных лексико-семантических групп в художественном дискурсе романа Ф. М. Достоевского «Преступление и наказание»

Abstract

The article deals with studying the language of literature. The syntagmatic features of different lexical-semantic groups of verbs in the literary discourse of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel "Crime and Punishment" are considered The purpose of the article is the identification and description of such features. The nature of syntagmatic relations of components in the structure of the group is determined. The grammar models of simple sentences in which the analyzed verbal units are functioning and their elemental composition: subject, predicate, object and adverbial qualifiers are studied. Syntagmatic analysis shows the syntax importance of object and adverbial qualifiers for a particular model of verbal sentence. For example, it is shown that the compatibility of verbs of speech activity with adverbial qualifiers of manner and mode of action is the most typical for this lexical-semantic group. In turn, the verbs of motion and displacement in "Crime and Punishment" by F. M. Dostoevsky demonstrate the limited syntagmatic features: the verbs of this lexical-semantic group are mostly used without distributors. The analysis of syntagmatics of the verbs from different lexical-semantic groups shows that verbal units are the complex system of key words by which an image of a character is created
