Abstract

The subject of analysis in the article is a metaphor as a universal linguistic mechanism of nomination through an associative analogy, based on "socially filtered" (typologicalized) and subjective, individual 540 aspects of perceiving the designated objects. The associative context of metaphors inevitably reflects the specificity of figurative categorization in different national linguocultures. The grounds for such categorization include language associative stereotypes, mythologems, pragmatics of everyday life of a particular people, which determine the axiological nature of figurative analogy. Indicative in terms of ethnocultural marking zoomorphic metaphor, the cognitive source of which is the "image" of the animal, transferred to man. In this paper, zoomorphic metaphors with key symbols of the dog and horse in Russian and Mongolian are compared in a comparative manner. Different directions of the development of the associative context of zoomorphism are analyzed taking into account the grounds for its figurative actualization. It is noted that the linguo-creative nature of the examined zoomorphic metaphors (both in Russian and Mongolian) is manifested in the aphoristic "processing" of situational presuppositions that correlate with the accentuated feature of the similarity between animal and human.
