Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı; Spor Yapan Engellilerin Sosyo-Demografik, Sosyo-Kültürel Ve Sosyal Kendilik Değerlerinin İncelenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Türkiye Sakatlar Derneği'ndeki ortopedik engelli 53 engelli sporcu gönüllü olarak katılmıştır.Gönüllülerden Sosyo-demografik bilgi, sosyo-ekonomik bilgi formu ve Şahin ve arkadaşları tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan kendilik değerleri ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler IBM SPSS 22 adlı paket program ile kayıt edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin istatistikî analizleri için istatistik uzmanlarından yardım alınmıştır. Katılımcılara ilişkin kişisel bilgiler veren envanter toplam puanları, frekans (f) ve yüzde (%) değerleri betimsel değerleri tespit edilerek verilmiştir. Veriler parametrik dağılım göstermektedir. İstatistikî işlem olarak Anova Varyans analizi uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak Türkiye'de sporla uğraşan engellilerin genellikle orta gelir düzeyine sahip ailelerden gelen, lise mezunu, erkek bireylerin çoğunlukta olduğunu ve bu bireylerin olumlu kendilik değerlerinin yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

The purpose of this study, Socio-demographics of the Disabled Athlete, is toexamine the sociocultural characteristics and social self value of disabledathletes in Turkey. 53 athletes with orthopedic disabilities and belongingto the Disabled Society of Turkey voluntarily participated in the study.The volunteers' socio-demographic and socioeconomic data was collected by using forms translated into Turkish by Sahin, and the self esteem of friendsscale was used. The obtained data was recorded with the IBM SPSS 22 package program. The data was statistically analyzed with assistance fromexperts. Personal information relating to the participants' total inventoryscales, frequency (f) and percentage (%) values were determined. The dataindicated parametric distribution. Anova Variance analysis was used asstatistical process. Results indicated that people with disabilities engagedin sports in Turkey generally come from middle class families, are highschool graduates, are primarily male, and these individuals have been foundto have high levels of self esteem.
