Abstract

The problems of anthropogenic changes of vegetation cover within six specially protected nature areas (SPNA) of Stavropol Upland are considered. The emergence of synanthropic or to some extent sinanthropized plant communities was a consequence of such influence. The plant communities of the road network and plant communities of intensively visited places (trampled glades and tourist camps) divided on physiognomic features are characterized. For each group of communities the following indicators are considered: main dominants and sodominants; the number of species of the sample plot (species richness); sinanthropization index; adventization index; general projective covering. It is claimed that to limit negative consequences of the sinanthropization processes of the vegetation cover within natural reserves is possible due to a number of nature protection measures. They have to include annual monitoring of plant communities, an assessment of the anthropogenic transformation degree of the model disturbed communities, identification of populations of the rare endangered species of plants, preservation of original habitats. It is found out that the most part of the general projective covering of six SPNA is accounted for the sinanthropic species. For the purposes of braking of the original plant communities degradation and restoration of the disturbed lands condition within SPNA, the ecological restoration by a complex method is recommended
