Анализ лексико-семантической парадигмы непроизводных прилагательных, характеризующих телосложение человека

Abstract

The lexical-semantic paradigm of non-derivative adjectives as a part of the lexical-semantic group of adjectives with the meaning "human body characterisation" is considered. The question is raised about the reflection of the studied lexemes in lexicographical sources. Based on the analysis of definitions of such adjectives the following variants of their interpretation are distinguished: relativity-syntagmatic type, descriptive-classical type and others. The possibility of creating a single model for the description of the studied adjectives is proved. If we expand this model to the semantic components, it will include the following potential semes: integral seme overt by the participle ("having, possessing"), arch-seme overt by the noun ("body, constitution, figure"), differential descriptive semes (synonymous adjectives) and limiting semes ("about the person"). It is noted that the denotative-specifying limiting semes or specifying components (whereby the referents are fixed in sememes of adjectives) that correspond to certain attributes are important semantic components in the definitions of studied adjectives. The functional-stylistic characteristics of adjectives describing human physical constitution are considered. In the lexical-semantic paradigm the subgroups are distinguished. The conclusion is made about the general principles of semantic and structural organisation of the lexical-semantic paradigm and lexical-semantic group. The relevance of the study is explained by the importance of the theoretical description of word-formation potential of each lexical-semantic group to compile the entire matrix of all the derivative vocabulary of modern Russian language
