Las comunidades viven confiadas en la seguridad física y funcional de los hospitales particularmente en las situaciones de desastres, hoy conocemos las debilidades que estos pueden ocultar. En este artículo se revisan los efectos de los terremotos sobre los hospitales, el desarrollo del concepto de hospital seguro y los estudios de vulnerabilidad sísmica de hospitales en el Perú.
