Cera de carnaúba como impermeabilizante e tamanho do torrão na determinação da densidade do solo

Abstract

A escolha do material impermeabilizante na análise da densidade do solo é uma etapa fundamental quando se opta pela sua realização pelo método do torrão impermeabilizado. Objetivou-se com a realização deste trabalho verificar se a cera de carnaúba pode ser utilizada como impermeabilizante de torrões na determinação da densidade do solo e determinar qual o tamanho do torrão apropriado para análise, comparando os resultados com a estimativa pelo método do anel volumétrico. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado em arranjo fatorial 2x2+1, com quatro repetições, sendo dois impermeabilizantes, dois diâmetros médios de torrão, e um tratamento controle, densidade do solo pelo método do anel volumétrico. Para análise foram coletadas amostras em três classes de solos no município de Janaúba, estado de Minas Gerais, Brasil, sendo um Typic Eutrustox (Latossolo Vermelho eutrófico), um Haplustalf (Nitossolo Vermelho eutrófico) e um Albaqualf (Planossolo Háplico). Verificou-se que a cera de carnaúba pode ser utilizada como impermeabilizante de torrões na análise de densidade do solo. Com exceção do Albaqualf, o uso de torrões com diâmetro médio de 6 cm impermeabilizados com cera de carnaúba permite uma estimativa da densidade do solo similar àquela obtida pelo método do anel volumétrico.
