Examining the minor prose about love of 1920s the author of the article analyses "expressing" of poetics of the inexpressible in two Zamyatin's stories - "Land Surveyor" and "A Story About the Most Important Things": close-ups and vagueness of portrayals of the main heroines in the stories transfer depicted situation from the actual time and place into the place of different existence. The transformation of fiction time in two Zamyatin's stories functions as a kind of "transcendent code" which allows determining the transfer of empirical existence to the sphere of the absolute. The reflections over Zamyatin's stories are included into the wide cultural and philosophical context.
