Abstract

[EN] The aim of this project is to study the problem that occurs in the last part of the La Cala ravine, located in Finestrat (Alicante), as a consequence of the extreme precipitation periods. These are mainly unusual but generate a dangerous water flow. From the road Avenida de Finestrat to the sink in the coastline, the ravine flows exclusively through a urban area and it has been transformed into a street. That avoids having an appropriate piece of land reserved for it. In order to come to a solution and reduce the negative effects that caused the floods, it has been conducted an analysis from the hydrologic perspective but also hydraulic. The hydrologic analysis has focused on to provide the flood hydrographs but also to investigate how significant it could be a crescent urban development in terms of run-off. Related to the hydraulic infrastructures that have been agreed to calculate, it has been considered a 500-year return period storm. The high level of land occupancy has constrained their design. But, at last, it has been possible to reach a solution that led the water flow in safe conditions. This design is based in three reaches: the first one is an overland flow, in the second one the water goes in to a channel, and finally, the water flows into the sea by pressure. [CA] L'objectiu d¿aquest treball és estudiar el problema existent a l'últim tram del barranc de La Cala (Finestrat, Alacant) com a conseqüència de les crescudes que tenen lloc en episodis de pluja extrems. Es tracta d'esdeveniments no molt habituals però que provoquen el descens de l'aigua de manera torrencial. Des de l''Avinguda de Finestrat fins a la platja, el barranc transcorre exclusivament per zona urbana i inclús s'ha transformat en un carrer. Aquest fet provoca que el llit del riu no tinga un espai reservat. Amb la finalitat de poder proporcionar una solució i reduir així els efectes negatius de les inundacions, s'ha estudiat la situació des del punt de vista hidrològic i hidràulic. L'anàlisi hidrològic s'ha centrat a obtindre els hidrogrames de crescuda i a estudiar el futur impacte dels canvis d'ús del sòl en el Llindar d'Escorrentia. Pel que fa a les obres hidràuliques projectades, aquestes s'han dissenyat per a un període de retorn de 500 anys. La seua concepció ha estat molt condicionada a causa de l'elevat grau d'artificialització de la zona. No obstant això, finalment ha sigut possible concebre un disseny que desaigua les crescudes de manera segura, en el qual s'hi distingeixen tres trams: un primer en làmina lliure i cel obert, un segon també en làmina lliure però soterrat i un tram final en pressió amb eixida submergida al mar. [ES] El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar la problemática existente en el último tramo del barranco de La Cala (Finestrat, Alicante) como consecuencia de las crecidas en episodios de lluvia extremos, no muy habituales, pero que provocan el descenso de agua de manera torrencial. Desde la Avenida de Finestrat hasta la playa, el barranco discurre exclusivamente por zona urbana y se ha transformado en una calle, impidiendo así que el cauce discurra por un espacio reservado . Con el fin de poder proporcionar una solución y reducir los efectos negativos de las inundaciones, se ha estudiado la situación desde el punto de vista hidrológico e hidráulico. El análisis hidrológico se ha centrado en obtener los hidrogramas de crecida y en estudiar el impacto futuro de los cambios de uso del suelo en el Umbral de Escorrentía. En cuanto a las obras hidráulicas planteadas, éstas se han diseñado para un periodo de retorno de 500 años. Su concepción ha estado muy condicionada debido al alto grado de artificialidad de la zona. Pero finalmente se ha conseguido un diseño, que consigue desaguar las crecidas de forma segura , en el que se distinguen tres tramos: un primer tramo en lámina libre y cielo abierto, un segundo también en lámina libre pero enterrado y un tramo final en presión con salida sumergida al mar.
