Abstract

O conceito de narcisismo é de essencial valor no curso da metapsicologiafreudiana, dadas suas implicações que conduziram a mudanças no modelode psiquismo apresentado por Freud na Primeira Tópica, no capítulo VII daInterpretação de Sonhos (1900). No presente trabalho buscamos expor,primeiramente, a noção freudiana do eu em dois momentos distintos de suaobra, a saber: o Projeto de uma Psicologia de 1895 e A Interpretação deSonhos. Em seguida, tencionamos demonstrar – com ênfase nos artigosmetapsicológicos (1915-1917) – como o conceito de narcisismo subverte asduas concepções anteriores do eu, a partir da sua articulação com a teoriadas pulsões, devido às investigações trazidas pela psicanálise no campo dapsicopatologia. Finalmente, pretendemos refletir acerca das implicaçõesda nova noção de eu trazida pelo narcisismo para se observar como seentrelaçam psicanálise e subjetividade.Palavras-chave: Eu; narcisismo; pulsões; subjetividade.
