Este testimonio fue recogido por Martine du Authier cuando, siendo estudiante de Etnología, realizaba una investigación sobre la fiesta mestiza de la Virgen del Carmen de Paucartambo (Cuzco), habiendo sido David Villasante González (1900-1988) uno de sus principales informantes.
