Abstract

Despite increasing labor shortage in Russia more than a quater of Russian faculty report low employment chances of their graduates, as the RANEPA’s Monitoring on the faculty’s attitude towards actual challenges in 2024 has shown (N=21164). To determine the range of reasons leading to inadequate interaction between the education system and the labor market in Russia, a series of ethnographic interviews with faculty — Monitoring participants was conducted (N=8) and the current scientific discourse in the thematic area was examined. The findings of this research suggest a lack of collaboration among the key stakeholders in the educational process for the nation's economic development, necessitating its prompt evolution.
