Anizotropija toplinske vodljivosti kvazi-1D VGN sistema (TaSe4)2I

Abstract

Posljednjih 20-tak godina u središtu zanimanja su materijali s izraženim svojstvima smanjene dimenzionalnosti. Zbog reducirane dimenzionalnosti različitih vrsta međudjelovanja i njihove kompeticije, oni pokazuju neke nove pojave, uz onu koju je gotovo univerzalna, a to je periodička deformacija rešetke. Javljaju se nove faze s različitim spektrom osnovnih stanja zbog jakih korelacija bilo elektronskog ili fononskog podsistema (supravodljivost, val gustoće naboja (VGN) ili spina (VGS), ...). Fazna i amplitudna pobuđenja novih faza (fazoni i amplitoni) i način na koji se oni javljaju bitno utječu na fizikalna svojstva tih materijala. Vrlo značajna klasa spojeva s kvazi-jednodimenzionalnim svojstvima su anorganski spojevi - tetrakalkogenidi prijelaznih metala (MX4)nY. Najopsežnija eksperimentalna istraživanja vršena su na spoju (TaSe4)2I, kod kojeg je pojava VGN-a utvrđena brojnim eksperimentalnim metodama (difrakcija X-zraka, infracrvena i Ramanova spektroskopija, itd.). Ono što taj materijal čini posebno zanimljivim s gledišta fononskog transporta je jedinstvena fononska disperzija utvrđena neutronskim mjerenjima. Eksperimentalnim ispitivanjima utvrđeno da u VGN sistemima postoji dodatan doprinos toplinskoj vodljivosti od faznih i amplitudnih pobuđenja VGN-a. Kako je u električnoj vodljivosti, susceptibilnosti, i drugim svojstvima VGN sistema opažena anizotropija, to je potaklo i ispitivanje anizotropije toplinske vodljivosti, s ciljem boljeg uvida u samu prirodu nastanka i utjecaja VGN-a na transportnih svojstva, jer obuhvaća sve vrste nositelja topline. Rezultati mjerenja anizotropije toplinske vodljivosti u okolini Peierlsovog prijelaza ukazuju na vrlo anizotropno i jako elektron-elektron vezanje u tom sistemu koje za posljedicu ima pojavu izrazite anomalije samo u smjeru paralenom s lancima. Ta anomalija se ne može pripisati elektronskom transportu, već teško razlučivom procesu raspršenja (fazon-fonon, fazon-fazon, ampliton-fonon) kao i povećanom vođenju zbog velike fazonske brzine. Neke dodatne karakteristične pojave kao postojanje minimuma ispod temperature prijelaza, te slabi rast rešetkine vodljivosti na višim temperaturama zahtjevaju rigoroznije određivanje pojedinih doprinosa, te određena teorijska objašnjenja u okviru VGN područja.
