</script><< Background >>The project ''VRIN:Virtual Reality for Migrants Social and Cultural Orientation and Inclusion'' is designed to provide innovative targeted training to both actors involved in Third Country Nationals' integration and TCNs themselves as a two-way method to enhance integration in local communities. This two- way method is selected given that integration does not only depend on TCNs’ willingness to adapt to the new context by acquiring key skills (Communication with the local authorities, useful/everyday vocabulary, knowledge of labour access, bureaucratic and financial procedures, housing and health system hints). This project also aimed on the capacity building of key professionals (Interpreters, cultural mediators and all type of integration assistants) working in this field. The management of the massive TCN influx of 2015-2016 has proven that it is not enough to just open borders, but also, to be ready to apply effective management after the settlement for TCNs, refugees, asylum seekers etc. Therefore, the VRIN project addressed the need for innovative training tools, beyond the mainstream and traditional ones, as a means of making the process of acquaintance with the local context during the two years of implementation.<< Objectives >>The VRIN project is designed to achieve the following objectives;-To develop innovative approaches to facilitate access to basic services that can be adapted to, local contexts; improved access to comprehensive health care services, social security benefits for TCNs, as well as to services facilitating labour market integration, financial services, housing and helping to provide them with affordable accommodation based on their needs,-To provide the local communities, authorities, operators, stakeholders and training centers with a state-of-the-art tool which is aligned with the latest trends of digital evolution (VR and Gamified Environment),-To open a window to TCNs’ life-long learning, in order to facilitate their integration in society and the labour market,-To bring local and international stakeholders closer as a means of multiplying the project’s impact but also spreading its benefits,-To boost service providers and integration assistants’ capacity to deal with TCNs’ needs and different cultural background, thus boosting their intercultural skills,-To enhance both TCNs’ and integration actors’ digital skills towards a smoother adaptation in the 2nd digital era (or 4th Industrial Revolution). << Implementation >>Within the VRIN project's two years of implementation period, the following activities were implemented facilitating the achievement of the project's objectives.-TPM1 in Nicosia,Cyprus in 10/11th May 2022: In this meeting the relevant preparation was done in order to have presentations, guidelines, deadlines and further informationregarding the distribution of the responsibilities and R1&PR2 project tasks as well as dissemination and evaluation.-TPM2 in Vilnius, Lithuania 22/23th March 2023:The relevant preparation was done in order to have presentations, guidelines, deadlines and further information regarding the PR1&PR2 as well as detailed preparation for the LTTA that was hosted in Cyprus. All relevant templates for partners to come prepared to the LTTA (ppts templates, activities templates, final material presentation templates) were shared.-LTTA in Nicosia,Cyprus 16/18th May 2023: Tools, ideas and useful information that would be favourable for the VRIN project and its materials developed was shared with the staff members of the parnetship.-TPM3 in Lund, Sweden 28/29th November 2023:Finalization of the all project tasks, presentations regarding the sustainability of the project and follow up activities within the organizations.-Multiplier Event in 6 partner countries with the attrendance of more than 200 people in total: MEs in 6 countries were designed to disseminate the all final results of the project to the target group in local areas of the partners.<< Results >>During the VRIN project, the following concrete results were produced;-Mapping of the current situation regarding TCNs’ integration in the EU and the development of relevant strategies (Communication with the local authorities, useful/everyday vocabulary, knowledge of bureaucratic and financial procedures, housing and health system hints) and training activities for TCNs and relevant actors such as interpreters, cultural mediators and all type of integration assistants’ skills.-Production of the Interactive training Curriculum (PR 1): It is consisting of Virtual Reality scenarios and Gamified Environment which addresses in an inclusive and amusing way the information and the skills that a TCN and a professional must possess to integrate and assist TCN integrate respectively. On the one hand, the innovative Curriculum constitutes a sustainable a replicable asset without limitations. It allows to transfer in any context as each scenario contains specific info for every single context of each country.-Production of the Online Platform (PR 2): PR2 includes all those scenarios in a gamified form. The Vrin Online Platform serves as a centralised digital hub for the Vrin Curriculum and for valuable information for both TCN’s and Authorities.-Production of the Interactive Guidebook (PR 3): It supports actors in the partner countries and beyond on how to use the project’s outputs while adapting them to their context. Through the PR2 which was widely disseminated to various stakeholders within and out of our partner countries, we aimed to break down barriers and misinformation in order to foster a comprehensive understanding of integration incorporating the challenges, opportunities and best practices within the integration process and to raise awareness regarding obstacles faced by TCNs to access those services and the possible solutions by relevant actors across the EU.All of the above mentioned concrete results can be found here;https://vrin-project.eu/results/
