<< Background >>We applied for this project to create and promote learning opportunities for adult students in the field of social innovation. Unruhe Privatstiftung has a long history of expertise in identifying social innovations and recognising potential. The awarding of the Social Innovation Prize Sozialmarie, the two-stage evaluation process with a top-class jury of experts and the database of over 20 years of project submissions have contributed to this wealth of knowledge. While Partner Organisation Cromo Foundation has a long track record in developing training and learning materials and thus was chosen as the optimal partner for the TRIC project. The strength of the partnership was that on the SozialMarie side we saw many successful projects, but we didn't know how to make them available and feasible for others, while on the Cromo side we wanted to create a curriculum based on case studies that were already working, thus ensuring its viability. This was both an opportunity for social innovations to gain visibility and awareness of their recipes for success, and for adult learners to gain a better understanding of the competences needed to successfully implement a social innovation.<< Objectives >>The overall aim of the project was to develop and design non-formal educational curricula, based on sucessfully implemented socially innovative projects, for adult leraners to stengthen their social innovation competencies. This was achieved by extracting skills from the successfully implemented projects that are necessary to develop social innovations into sustainably successful projects, segmenting these identified skills to key competences and creating learning materials for adult learners interested in developing their initiatives.The skills were divided into core competencies that are compatible with the demand on the labour market. With the help of specially developed training materials, adult leraners should be able to improve their social innovation competences.<< Implementation >>A2 Research and A3 Project focus groupsFirstly, by analysing social innovations that already have a successful track record as a project, we wanted to identify the skills that have contributed to sustainable success. We developed a needs assessment about interests and learning methods of adult learners.During this process, the competences were identified and structured, and a modular system of curricula was developed.The focus groups were implemented personally and online/phone as well, in group and one-by-one too.A4 Educational developmentThe learning materials, as they contain the basic structure and sklills, can be used separately along a chosen case study, but each learning material also addresses 3-4 different competences.The materials were used with different methods to teach a transfer of skills e.g. 2-day personal trainings, workshop with students, online trainings with mastermind method.We wanted to achieve a low threshold access to successfully prooved training material.The translation and proofreading was done during and after development. A5 DisseminationOnline dissemination was continuous on our various social media platforms. The project results were presented in an online and a face-to-face event.<< Results >>The concrete output are 5 different learning packages in three languages (EN&AT&HU) with online access. These training materials were pilot tested in different occasions. The materials can also be watched as videos.
