The Vocational Institutes for Skills and Entrepreneurship in sub-Saharan Nations (VISION) is a project designed to modernize Vocational Education and Training (VET) schools in Angola, Mozambique, and Sao Tome, aligning them with the labor market societal needs and demands. By fostering collaborations across EU organisations, VISION aims to improve the employability and entrepreneurship of VET students, preparing them for today's dynamic and evolving market. This in turn will enable them to actively contribute to societal development of the regions.To achieve this, a series of key activities are designed to support the main objectives of the project. Specifically, the creation of a Virtual Incubator Hub to support entrepreneurship within VET institutions, a comprehensive capacity building programme to upgrade the skills of VET staff and students, and the operation of the incubation hub to foster stronger ties between education and the marketplace will be fundamental. Additionally, VISION emphasizes the efforts to ensure the transferability and sustainability of the incubation hub model to other VET schools, as integral part of the activities, aiming at policy reform and project continuation. Specifically, the project targets training 24 VET students and integrating 6 VET school managing bodies into the Incubation Hub's operational structure, setting a foundation for widespread educational reform and innovation. Finally, in VISION we are establishing the idea of a VET Marketplace where where bussineses will be able to collaborate with VET Students for the implementation of tasks related to real market cases.To sum up, the VISION project stands as an initiative aiming to empower the next generation of professionals in Angola, Mozambique, and Sao Tome with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.
